Sativa
Cannabis Sativa is found primarily in hot, dry climates with long sunny days. Some of these locations include but are not limited to Africa, Central America, Southeast and Western portions of Asia. Sativa often has lower doses of CBD and higher doses of THC. Sativa often produces a “mind high,” or an energizing, anxiety-reducing effect. If you use sativa-dominant strains, you may feel productive, alert, and creative; not relaxed and lethargic.
Indica
Cannabis Indica is native to Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, and Turkey. The plants have adapted to the often harsh, dry, and turbulent climate of the Hindu Kush Mountains. Indica strains often have higher levels of CBD and less THC. Indica is sought after for its intensely relaxing effects. (Or as we describe it… In the couch effect) It may also reduce nausea, pain and increase appetite.
Hybrid
FACT: Each year, cannabis growers produce new and unique strains from different combinations of parent plants, often to target specific effects.
Hybrids are typically grown on farms or greenhouses from a combination of Sativa and Indica strains. Many Hybrid cannabis plants are grown in order to increase the THC percentage, but each type has a unique ratio of the two cannabinoids; THC and CBD. Farmers and producers select Hybrids for their unique impacts. They can range from reducing anxiety and stress to easing symptoms of chemotherapy or radiation.
How Do I Choose The Product That Is Best For Me ?
Visit us at our facility and speak to one of our Bud Specialists! Our goal is to serve and educate the community about cannabis in a safe and controlled environment. We are more than happy to educate and answer any questions you may have.
Below are some things to consider that can help our specialists recommend a product that’s best for you.
- Know what you’re trying to achieve. What you’re trying to feel or treat will help us narrow your options. Speak with one of our specialists about your goals for cannabis use, whether that’s treating insomnia, reducing anxiety, or increasing energy.
- Understand your tolerance. Some strains, such as Pineapple Express, are considered “entry level.” Their effects are typically mild and tolerable. Strains with higher levels of cannabinoids may be too potent for a first-time user. Our specialists can recommend a potency and strain that’s right for you.
- Consider your medical history. While cannabis is a natural product, it can cause intense effects. Before you try cannabis, you need to consider possible interactions with existing medical conditions and medications. When in doubt, consult with your doctor or other healthcare provider about your individual benefits and potential risks. Please be advised that we CANNOT offer medical advise.
- Decide on a desired consumption method. Each technique for consuming cannabis has benefits and drawbacks. If you smoke or vape cannabis, you may feel effects more quickly, but it can irritate your lungs and airways. Gummies, chewables, foods and drinks may be easier to tolerate and all vary in potency levels. We have wise selection of consumption methods!
